Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

—Matthew 6:27 NLT

Do you cross rivers before you come to them, dread troubles that never come, expect evil from the Lord instead of good? In other words, is your soul full of unnecessary care? For that is what the word “careful” means—unnecessary care.

“Do not worry” is a plain and simple command, but it is such a difficult one to follow. M. D. Babcock has given a few beneficial suggestions for the person who feels . . .  read more

Tomorrow’s Wonderful World!

free-bible-studies-online-tomorrows-wonderful-world

When you pray the Lord’s Prayer, have you ever really thought about the part, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”? (Luke 11:2). We who know and love the Lord already have Heaven in our hearts, thank God, but is there really much Heaven on Earth today? No, there is mostly confusion and selfishness and unhappiness and war and fighting and hell on every hand!

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.

Over the last months, I have been thinking about the first disciples and some of the changes they went through early on in their walk of faith. They were with Jesus for about three and a half years, witnessing the great things He did, listening to Him preach, teach, tell parables, and seeing Him perform miracles.

They lived an incredibly exciting life, a very different life from that of the average person. They had a special relationship with Jesus. They were personally taught . . .  read more

Q: I know the Bible says that Jesus forgave all my sins when I received Him as my Savior, but I still feel horrible about some of the things I did before I was saved. What can I do?

A: Let it go! Remorse can be a real problem because it so easily leads to depression. It also often greatly hinders many Christians’ usefulness for the Lord, because they ask, “How could Jesus possibly use me or even forgive me when I can’t forgive myself?”

But where we have problems,  . . .  read more
